Gigi Hadid has no shortage of statement pants hanging up in her closet. This summer alone we’ve seen her turn out in every iteration imaginable: millennial pink bell-bottoms, pale blue paper-bag trousers, are just a couple of examples currently in rotation. The supermodel has taken a minimalist approach to the idea for the most part, paring back on styling the piece, so it was a refreshing change of pace to see her step out in New York today in a bold graphic T-shirt with equally eye-catching flares. After all, why settle for one attention-grabbing piece when you can have several?
Hadid zipped into lipstick-red pants by SemSem and slipped on a pair of Stuart Weitzman suede mules in the same shade. The throwback Star Wars shirt T-shirt sent a message that read fun and quirky—a nice alternative to the vintage band tees that have been popping up on the street style circuit lately. Hadid added a finishing sense of polish in the form of a Tyler Ellis top-handle bag and her signature oversize sunglasses.

Zendaya Has a Millennial Barbie Red Carpet Moment
Millennial pink is here to stay: Everyone from Gigi Hadid to Kendall Jenner has been putting a youthful spin on the ubiquitous hue. Earlier this week, Hadid infamously dressed up like Millennial Barbie in pink leather pants and a matching jacket, like the real-life version of the SoCal Gigi Hadid Barbie doll released last fall. Now, Zendaya is following in her footsteps with the red carpet complement. (It’s only fitting, considering that Zendaya was made into her own Zendaya Barbie doll, too.)
At the world premiere of Spider-Man: Homecoming in Hollywood, the star hit a high note in custom Ralph & Russo. The electric pink was eye-catching, but the dress’s cut really amped up the statement factor with its plunging neckline down the pleated bodice and a thigh slit cut up to there. A matching scarf tied around the neck trailed behind her—perfect for exiting the premiere in, say a Barbie-pink convertible—while Casadei’s matching pointed-toe heels made for the ultimate fashion-fantasy finish.

Melania Trump Wears Belgian Designer Maison Ullens and Dolce & Gabbana in Brussels
It’s the final stretch of the Trumps’ first international trip, and earlier today, Melania Trump paid homage to the city of Brussels in a suit from Belgian designer Maison Ullens. This latest skirt suit, designed by Myriam Ullens de Schooten, falls in line with the First Lady’s style, as seen thus far. For a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara at the White House and more recently in Jerusalem, Trump opted for strongly tailored, optic white suits by Karl Lagerfeld and Michael Kors, respectively. Today’s look pushed things further, thanks to exposed stitching that recalled the Hervé Pierre leather skirt she wore to leave the White House last week.
The light taupe suit came with a tonal, built-in belt, a signature detail that the First Lady employs often. Grounding the look were snakeskin Manolo Blahnik stilettos; Trump’s diamond ring acted as her only accessory. At a dinner hosted by Queen Mathilde of Belgium a few hours later, Trump changed into another black lace Dolce & Gabbana dress, swapping out her stilettos for the Italian house’s embellished floral sandals.

Yes, Selena Gomez Changed Outfits 3 Times Today
Selena Gomez has serious range when it comes to style. One moment, she’s hitting a playful note at Coachella in a floral frock, the next, she’s mastered sophistication in a monochromatic maxi at a friend’s outdoor wedding. Today, while hosting the WE Day California event to celebrate young people changing the world, Gomez stepped out in pale blue suit separates that fit the formal occasion—one of three different looks she wore in less than 24 hours.
To walk the red carpet, Gomez picked Brock Collection’s gingham off-the-shoulder jacket, but toned down the buttoned-up nature of the traditional blazer by revealing a hint of midriff. Wide-leg trousers gave an ultra-flattering line, as did a pair of patent-leather Christian Louboutin pumps in a complementary pastel hue. To take the event stage, Gomez traded the suiting for boyfriend jeans in a classic rinse. At one point, she threw on a leather jacket by Jenny Packham decorated with painterly hearts, clouds, and stars, then switched into a cute black T-shirt with a red kiss across the front by Sonia Rykiel. Coupled with her denim, it read like a distinct ’90s throwback, elevated simply by a pair of patent-leather Mary Janes with a gold metallic heel—an easy quick-change with major results.

Alexa Chung Has This Whole Edie Sedgwick Style Thing Down
When Alexa Chung stepped out for breakfast with her boyfriend, Alexander Skarsgård, early this morning, she looked like herself, sure, but in a decidedly Edie Sedgwick kind of way. The model was seen crossing the street in New York’s East Village in a mash-up of essentials made famous by one of the original It girls.
The animal-print look was a favorite of Sedgwick’s, and Chung doubled down on it by adding a skinny scarf overtop. In a varsity stripe, it looked like it could have been plucked from the closet of Bob Dylan, who, lest we forget, was another favorite of Sedgwick’s. Chung’s cat-eye sunglasses were also in line with the late actress’s accessories, plus the tortoiseshell shade and metallic gold detail tied in nicely with the colors of Chung’s coat.
Sedgwick often took to monochromatic pieces in all-over tonal black—black dresses, black leopards, black turtlenecks—but we like that Chung switched it up with a navy fisherman’s sweater in a cozy cable-knit. Her faded skinnies were classic Sedgwick, though, as were the flat ankle boots in the same shade.
