China 6 Top Movies To Watch

1. The flying Swords of Dragon Gate
Flying Swords of Dragon Gate is the latest offering from director Tsui Hark and kung fu legend Jet Li, the first 3D wuxia movie by both after working on movies in the past such as Once Upon A Time in China series, The Master, Swordsman 2 and Black mask.
Although based on the story of 1992's "Dragon Inn", Tsui denied the new film will be a remake of the old classic. Tsui also worked on the screenplay in addition to directing and producing the film, to ensure the originality of the story.

2. The Flowers of War
Previously called Nanjing Heroes and 13 Flowers of Nanjing, is an upcoming historical drama war film directed by Zhang Yimou.
The film, which is based on the novel The 13 Women of Nanjing by Geling Yan, has been selected as the Chinese entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards. The film is set in 1937 in Nanjing, China during the Nanking Massacre, at the time of the Second Sino-Japanese War. A group of escapees, finding sanctuary in a Church compound, risk their lives as they struggle to survive the plight and persecution brought on by the violent invasion of the city.
